Project Overview

Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home required a pavement solution that balanced appearance, durability, and extremely tight operational constraints. The parking lot was showing signs of wear and cracking, and full repaving was being considered. However, the pavement remained structurally sound and suitable for a targeted maintenance approach.

The primary concern was timing. As a high-traffic funeral home, the site needed to remain accessible with minimal interruption to services, visitors, and foot traffic. Any solution had to allow for rapid reopening while still delivering long-term protection.

After assessing the 18,000 square foot parking lot, a focused maintenance plan was developed to stabilize the pavement, restore appearance, and extend service life—delaying the need for repaving by several years and significantly reducing overall cost.

What we’ve done

Completed full crack filling across the entire 18,000 sq ft parking lot using hot rubber crack filler to address existing cracking and prevent further water infiltration.

Prepared the surface and applied a full commercial sealcoating application with fast-dry additives to accelerate curing time.

Coordinated work sequencing to allow limited foot traffic to resume within hours of completion and vehicle parking within 24 hours.

Re-striped the parking lot to restore clear traffic flow, parking organization, and site presentation.

Delivered a uniform, protected surface that significantly improved appearance while preserving the underlying pavement structure.

Provided a cost-effective alternative to repaving, extending pavement life and saving the client a substantial investment.
